Figured I should give you a better explanation, journal. Well, my father is getting married to Kim and I'm not happy about that at all. TThey haven't even dated for a long time! I mean, Jesus! She's such a whore. And why is my dad wanting to get married? Does he just want a warm body next to him?
These are the times I wish Mom was here, since none of this would be happening if she was still alive.
Keith isn't too happy about it either, so at least I've got someone on my side, somewhat. I think part of the unhappiness is that he has to be my stepbrother. What's so bad about me, anyway? I know I'm pretty messed up in a few areas, but not any more than the average person.
Oh well. Onto better news, I'm going with Dawn's family and Mary Anne to Disneyland tomorrow. It'll be Gracie's, Will's and Savannah's first trip there. That's when I'm going to drop my bomb on them.
I'm going to go with Dawn, Jeff, and Mary Anne back to Stoneybrook for a while.
I know, I know. I'm just like Bridget from those Sisterhood of the TRaveling Pants books. I run away from my problems. At least I can admit it, right? I just don't need to deal with it right now.
God, I'm such a loser.

NO.
NO. NO. NO.
They are getting married. After only dating for... six months at the longest?
I hate my life.

That was fun. By "that", I mean the BSC and a few others coming to California. Dad was sleeping over at Kim's all week, (well, most of the week anyway) so I invited some of the group to my house. Pete was obsessed with making us watch all these old music videos. He's pretty cute. We had a good time at Disneyland and UCLA, and the only downer was when Dad came back and saw the messy house. I told him that I HAD reminded him about everyone coming, and that I couldn't crack the whip on them completely. He didn't ground me or anything though, since he's too preoccupied with Kim.

Saturday was the third year since Mom died. Me and Dad had a quiet day, and we went out to visit Mom's grave. Sometimes it seems like it happened just yesterday. I wish she was still here to help me with a ton of things, like Dad and Kim. But then again, if Mom was alive, Kim wouldn't be in the picture in the first place. Dawn came over later, and we talked about random subjects, not just Mom. At least Kim had the respect not to call Dad today, or else I would have taken the phone out of Dad's hands and bitched her out.
Not too much else to say, except that most of the Stoneybrook people are coming here during spring break. I offered to let some of them crash at my house, but only one or two of them has taken the offer so far. I guess we'll see what happens.

Okay. So Dad's seeing this woman named Kimberly Lakine. She also lost her husband to lung cancer a few years ago, so how's that for common interests? Since I'm a loser and didn't have a date this V-Day (though Dawn did, and listening to her fret was extremely entertaining), I was forced to go along with Dad to meet Kimberly, who was bringing her son Keith with her. He's twenty and goes to UCLA, like Ducky.
So we went to some fancy schmancy restaraunt, and that's when I saw her. She looks around Dad's age, and she has light brown hair. Not completely bad looking, but not a bombshell either. Keith's got brown curly hair, and is kinda cute, except that he's totally annoying. He pushed all my buttons, and he knew it. I wanted to claw his eyes out, but that would've looked too gruesome at the table. Kim's okay, but no one's ever gonna measure up to Mom. I don't hate her, but I hate the fact that Dad's dating, period.
I hate how Keith sees right through my persona. I'm not fake, so why is he pushing past that like I am?
